Eight years ago today, the world was changed on a very fundamental level. We as a society were forced to take a good long look at ourselves, our place in the world, and the arrogance we projected. We changed. We were reminded just how truly sanctified life still is. We remembered how to appreciate each other. We became everything that, as a society, we are capable of being…. for about a week.
