The last time NASCAR fans heard Mike Joy he was losing a lung trying to describe the incredible action of the Whelen Modifieds as they raced at Bristol Motor Speedway for the first time. The race was short, the TV was basic and the fun meter was pegged on high. Is it wrong to say that was the most exciting NASCAR race of the season? After one of the longest rain delays in recent racing history, TThis upcoming weekend, the game of basketball will celebrate the enshrinement of its 50th Hall of Fame class. It’s hard to think of a better way to celebrate turning 50 than by inducting Vivian Stringer, David Robinson, John Stockton, Jerry Sloan, and Michael Jordan into its halls. Saturday, the Bombers beat Indianapolis Cathedral , the #1 Class 4A team in Indiana, 19-10 as part of the quadruple-header known as the Horseshoe Classic at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indy. St. X is now 2-0 with wins over two top-ranked teams . Cathedral entered Saturday's game having beaten #1 5A teams Carmel and Warren Central on back-to-back weekends to start the season. The Indy SAlmost too much to think about it--especially, since I probably missed about half of the programming! It wears me out to think of it, so I'd better blog before I forget. Last night Kevin said there had been 90 days of programming at Lakeside. Somewhere I saw a note that Rhein Center had about 6,000 signed up for classes.
